We are looking for a per diem veterinarian to help us out at Pearly Bites in New York City. We are a general practice dentistry-only practice that focuses exclusively on pet dental care. If you are a veterinarian who dreams of focusing on GP dental procedures and oral health, this is a great fit for you!

You will have all the equipment and supplies needed to provide great dental care to your patients. You will work closely with our team of vet techs, veterinary assistants, and front desk staff to provide top-notch veterinary care in a welcoming, supported workplace.  We offer clients flat-rate, all-inclusive pricing (including pre-op diagnostics) so that you can concentrate on the medicine, not going back-and-forth with estimates. 

We are looking for a per diem veterinarian who is comfortable performing routine dental procedures, including interpreting dental x-rays and extractions when indicated. 

The Practice

It is important you have the necessary tools and technology, both to provide awesome veterinary care and to have a great work environment. Our hospital has: 

• Dental x-ray, dental unit, wet tables
• Multiparameter monitoring units for full monitoring during anesthesia/procedures
• Idexx reference lab, in-house lab machine available
• Nearby specialty hospitals for referrals, emergencies and consultations if needed
• Cloud-based electronic medical records (EzyVet) -- so you can efficiently type up notes but also access records from anywhere

Qualifications

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent
Skilled and comfortable with dental procedures (COHATs, dental x-rays interpretation, extractions, etc.) 
Enthusiasm for GP dentistry and educating clients on the importance of dental health
